Birth of a New Humanity

The latest video from Drunvalo Melchizedek covers fascinating information related to sacred geometry, earth energies, Atlantis, the consciousness shift, ancient prophecy and earth changes. Of special interest is the explanation of 83,000 structures on earth, including pyramids, that have been placed in specific locations in order to activate the consciousness grid surrounding planet earth. For more information on Drunvalo’s activities, read The Serpent of Light.

Evidence of Ancient Civilization

I’m convinced that our society’s conventional archaeological community fails to acknowledge the existence of advanced civilizations beyond several thousand years ago. For example, I’ve always felt that there was more to the great pyramids in Giza than tombs for Egyptian pharaohs. Explanations for the pyramids, Nazca lines, Stonehenge and other ancient monuments didn’t add up. It’s clear that our modern minds have trouble grasping that older cultures might have more advanced technology than ourselves.

It was with delight and wonder that I came across this article of Gobleki, an archaeological site in eastern Turkey, that has some wondering if the actual site of the Biblical Garden of Eden has been discovered. So far, 45 stone monoliths arranged in circles, carved with a wide variety of animal life, have been uncovered from a site that appears to have been buried intentionally. The stones have been dated to 12,000-13,000 years ago, far before traditional scholars acknowledge the existence of sophisticated human settlements.

Speculation that this could be the site of the Garden of Eden stems from the location described in the bible as west of Assyria, near four rivers, including the Tigris and Euphrates. Gobleki fits this description. Additionally, “another book in the Old Testament talks of ‘the children of Eden which were in Thelasar’, a town in northern Syria, near Gobekli. The very word ‘Eden’ comes from the Sumerian for ‘plain’; Gobekli lies on the plains of Harran.” While we can’t know for certain, it is a compelling thought.

Astrological Dawning of the Age of Aquarius

I have seen in several sources a reference to a planetary configuration occurring early morning February 14, 2009. It corresponds to the 60s song by The Fifth Dimension called “Aquarius”. How interesting that on Valentine’s Day of this year we have an opportunity to take note of the energy and its correspondence to the current consciousness shift. Here are the particular lyrics melded into human consciousness in 1969:

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then
peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius

According to Mahala Gayle, the last alignment of Jupiter and Mars in the sign of Aquarius, the 12th house, which signifies spiritual transformation, occurred in 1962, preceding the tumultuous 60s. However, she states that “when the planets lined up in 1962 the moon was not in the 7th house [Libra, the relationship house]. In this [2009] alignment the moon will be in the 7th house. The year 1962 brought in the first inkling of the new age and now it is ready to mature.”

How do we take advantage of this planetary energy? The lyrics point to another clue:

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind’s true liberation

Astrologers interpret this energy to be related to freedom, love and peace.  As the song continues…

Let the sun shine in
Open up your heart and let it shine on in
When you are lonely, let it shine on
Got to open up your heart and let it shine on in
And when you feel like you’ve been mistreated
And your friends turn away
Just open your heart, and shine it on in

The Piscean age of duality, representing a parent-child dynamic (think - organized religion), is now behind us. According to John Hogue, a Nostradamus expert, 2009 is the first full year of the Aquarian age. We can look forward to truth, openness, freedom and co-creative living in the years ahead.

Whales celebrate Obama’s inauguration

A recent blessing in Hawaii to honor Barack Obama’s inauguration was visited by whales swimming joyfully near the shore and was caught on video. Reports indicate that lifelong residents have never seen whales behave in this manner, described as “spyhopping, slapping their fins and tails and a new behavior we have never seen before that we nicknamed the full body slap… for a full 30 minutes!” The natural supposition is that the whales were celebrating Obama’s inauguration along with the humans performing the blessing.

According to animal communicator Penelope Smith, whales are the keepers of all the knowledge of the universe. They are intimately connected to the workings of the earth and play an important role in human evolution. Smith reports that the tones of whale sounds reverberate throughout the oceans and the earth, reaching into our bodies in order to affect human consciousness to awaken to oneness.

Watching the whales on the video brings evidence that the not only are they aware of the human activity of blessing Obama’s inauguration, they are also supporting and celebrating the historic moment.

Damaging side effects of HRT

Several months ago I decided to stop taking birth control pills to get my body back to its natural state without synthetic hormones. Much to my relief, I read this article, HRT Drugs Shrink Women’s Brains AFTER cessation of the pill. In short, it has been discovered that HRT can shrink the brain’s frontal lobe resulting in the loss of memory and thinking skills. Women are thus more vulnerable to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Just like when I discussed hormones with my doctor, a doctor in this article claims the benefits of HRT outweigh any potential side effects. The author, Mike Adams, NaturalNews Editor, notes, “It’s amazing how America has gone from a nation of intelligent consumers to idiot consumers in just three decades. That rising wave of idiocy just happens to coincide with the rise of Big Pharma.” This is eerily similar to the rise of ADHD and drug use and the “feel better, take a pill” mentality. I, for one, will keep pharmaceuticals out of my body and turn to natural therapies as a first option.

Double tree face image

While hiking recently in a park area outside of Philadelphia, my friends and I came across this interesting image in a tree. The bark peels back naturally to reveal a crease and a knot that is duplicated by a junior-size image upwards and to the left. The images recall two faces (without eyes) and I thought of the apple trees that come to life when Dorothy and Scarecrow pick its apples in Wizard of Oz. These were clearly natural images, not carved by man. I was reminded of the concept that each tree has a nature spirit called a faun as related in Marko Pogacnik’s book, Nature Spirits & Elemental Beings. While fauns are not typically visible to humans, I wondered if these images were representative of the tree’s spirit nature. If so, it seems that perhaps there is a senior faun teaching the ropes to a younger faun. In any case, we were amused and amazed by the repeating pattern which itself is phenomenal, spirit or not.

Astral projection and lucid dreaming

I recently completed an online course focused on astral projection facilitated by Robert Bruce and Bob & Marina Felix. While I didn’t succeed in a fully conscious out-of-body experience, I did have some amazing lucid dreams.

For example, in one, I was having a lucid dream about being out of body, flying around, seeing another flying person, etc. On the way back to my body, I hit my head on the light above my bed and chuckled, as it was warned this could happen. I found myself back in my body and wanted to get back out, so I did the rolling out technique, but instead of rolling out energetically, I rolled out physically and landed on the floor next to my bed. This woke up my husband and we laughed about it, he wanted to know about my dream experience, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot everything. So when I finished writing, I had a conversation with him about my out-of-body dream. Much to my surprise, I then woke up AGAIN and realized that falling out of bed, recording the dream and subsequent conversation never took place.

After reporting this occurrence on the online student forum, I was instructed to remember while dreaming to stay focused on what was happening in the dream instead of thinking, “wow, I’m dreaming so my physical body must be back in bed.” In my case, I was put right back in bed and my subconscious invented a waking experience. So clearly I have more work to do in attaining a sustained, conscious astral projection, but the class provided an excellent foundation for doing just that with continued practice.

While taking the course, I was reminded of a book written by Bruce called Energy Work: The Secret of Healing and Spiritual Development, which includes a good number of personal exercises also taught in the online class. It is an excellent companion to many types of energy work and remains a frequent reference as I am exposed to other modalities.

Alternative TV channel on Verizon FiOS and DISH Network

For those television viewers with Verizon FiOS or DISH Network, a new channel is now available called Veria, geared to an audience interested in natural health and wellness. They are new enough that the only sponsor I could see was Gerber Baby, but for program breaks they play humor, because everyone knows laughter is the best medicine. I saw clips from old Buddy Hacket and Richard Pryor standup comedy.

A cooking show created a meal cooking with organic ingredients that helped support an immune system to avoid allergy symptoms. Each step included explanations for why particular foods are helpful to good health.

Another program called Bedside Manor was particularly amusing, yet educational. The premise has a conventional doctor and an alternative healer debate specific treatments for a particular disease. I viewed an episode addressing COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and the different options available from both points of view. The traditional M.D. was especially critical of the alternative treatments but his sparring partner took it in stride, remaining confident in his theories.

Other programming includes feng shui living, yoga, pilates, aromatherapy, organic gardening, natural anti-aging and beauty products.

Orbs and Obama on election night

I heard through a friend that there had been photographs taken with Obama and orbs and I searched online to find the pictures. Imagine my delight to see these amazing orb images at Grant Park in Chicago during Obama’s acceptance speech on election night. I don’t profess to know what orbs are or where they come from but I do know they have appeared in my own photography during high emotion, meaningful events.

I took similar photos at a friend’s outdoor wedding last October in Chapel Hill, NC. Throughout the day, several groups focused on creating beneficial and supportive energy on the site including a bata drum ceremony, several spiritual blessings, and a mardi gras parade as the groom’s procession to the altar. There were 300+ people at the all-day wedding and I planned to show my friend, Gazelle, how to take orb pictures when it got dark.

I fully expected to get a few orbs, but was completely surprised to get a large number of orbs (photo below). The collections of light images only showed up above the crowd of people, not when the camera was pointed to the night sky nearby where cars were parked. I felt intuitively that these orbs were due to the large group of people coming together to celebrate a loving union. Seeing the Grant Park orbs where thousands emotionally celebrated Obama’s victory lends credibility to this thought. Read more about orbs in The Orb Project.

Surviving disaster

I’ve always been fascinated with natural disasters, more specifically, avoiding them. For example, while I love to go to the beach, I would not consider purchasing a long-term home along the shoreline. Nor have I consciously chosen to live near a river; water is a force to be respected as it has a power of its own.

Some disasters remain unavoidable, especially in these days of global warming, earth shifts and general turmoil, as one can not anticipate every circumstance. So I was especially intrigued to see an innovative inflatable house featured in Wired Science. For $3900, this 12-foot-tall structure will provide shelter and amenities, including a bed, a couch, freeze-dried food, a 50-gallon water bladder, a first-aid kit, a radio and a cookstove.

Developed by Inflatable World, the Life Cube was a finalist at the Department of Energy-sponsored California Clean Tech Open.

Dancing with David Byrne

OK, it wasn’t just me dancing with David Byrne, but me and 1800 other fans who packed the Warner Theatre last night in Washington D.C. This was my fourth David Byrne concert in the past 16 years and it was as unique, distinct and exciting as each other performance. Along with a drummer, percussionist, keyboard and bass players, he was accompanied by 3 backup singers and 3 interpretive dancers who were amusing and original.

The current tour focuses on songs produced with Brian Eno. This meant that we were treated to very early tunes from the 1970s along with their most current release, Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. Byrne has a huge selection of songs to choose from and while I didn’t get to hear my all-time favorites, some fan favorites were mixed in from his tenure with the Talking Heads including Psycho Killer and Once in a Lifetime.

I don’t know very many David Byrne lovers so it was an extra pleasure to discover my friend, Robin, was also a fan. We had fun one-upping each other on our past encounters, from my personal meeting of Byrne backstage at Lisner Auditorium to her attending one of the first Talking Heads tours some 30 years ago.

Typically, I dance to Byrne’s repertoire in the privacy of my home, so it was a thrill when the entire theatre stood dancing throughout most of the concert. I have spent hours memorizing Byrne’s wacky lyrics and singing along came naturally. In these later years, I have a different understanding now of how these lyrics can be interpreted:

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?

Sounds suspiciously like a parallel universe or waking up in someone else’s body, eh?

Byrne continues his tour throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia through 2009.

Playing in the matrix

This weekend I attended my second Matrix Energetics seminar. Like camping out for great concert tickets in the days before internet purchasing, my friend Kris and I got up early each morning to stand in line to get good seats for the seminar. We were rewarded with front row seats each day on the right side of the stage where Richard Bartlett tends to face.

I had always envied those who got called up on stage to receive demonstration treatments. So I was especially excited to get called to the stage on 3 different occasions, twice with Richard and once with his daughter Justice who helps teach. I experienced firsthand the shift in the field within my body. While many people fall over during a treatment, gently lowered to the ground by helpful facilitators, I seemed to have a delayed reaction of several seconds and each time got dizzy and needed to be helped from the stage to my seat.

The immediate result was feelings of expansion and pleasant heart energy. During practice time, several other participants were eager to find out what the treatment felt like and for me to give them a treatment. To my surprise, I had one subject fall to the ground. Another insisted I had taken away her back pain. Comparing notes with another person following a practice treatment, it seemed my movements and thoughts matched the energy he felt surging through his body.

Many attendees repeat the seminars multiple times. I hadn’t quite understood the necessity of this until I realized how much I absorbed that didn’t quite sink in the first time around. What I grasped better this time is the concept of letting go. Different from other techniques where one focuses on bringing energy through our body as a conduit to the other person’s body, we are instructed to drop down into our heart energy then let go of all expectation and move our focus to something else, often called “doing nothing.” This seemed to be very effective in my practice sessions. It was easy to get into this state following my own matrix shifts, especially considering Justice was demonstrating this exact technique during my time with her on stage.

Orbs in my backyard

I recently finished reading The Orb Project and it reminded me of my own history with orbs. I took my first orb pictures in April 2007 at the Monroe Institute when it was suggested they appeared frequently in the area. At first, I thought this meant that orbs were only present in spiritual areas. While back at the Monroe Institute in August 2007, someone else suggested I could take orb pictures in my own backyard (or anywhere) simply by creating the intention that they would appear. I surprised myself by discovering this was true. Some nights I get many orbs, other nights nothing at all.

When I heard orb specialist and author Miceal Ledwith was giving a local lecture, I jumped at the chance to learn more about orbs. At his presentation, he showed slide upon slide of his own orb pictures, he claims to have over 100,000. His method was similar to mine, simply sitting in his yard taking pictures night after night with the intention to capture orbs.

During a break I showed him my pictures and was especially interested in his opinion on several photos I fondly called my angel spirits. These were bright objects taken at night in a dark area with nothing to reflect from, but were not round like typical awards. They were intriguingly shaped like a human figure, a bell and an angel. I was convinced they were some kind of spirit energy. Ledwith quickly burst my bubble and claimed they were merely reflective objects, like bugs. I still have a little trouble with this explanation since I saw no bugs in the air and thought they’d have to be pretty large to produce the images in my photos. However, I was pleased when he verified that, based on his experiences, most of my other traditionally round objects appeared to be “authentic” orbs.

Reckless driving in Virginia

I spent the morning in Fairfax County, VA traffic court yesterday to defend myself against a reckless driving ticket I received on I-66 while returning home from the Guidelines program at The Monroe Institute in Charlottesville, VA. I was quite aware of my speed closer to the Institute as I had seen many state troopers a week earlier on my way to the beginning of the program. However, as I got closer to home, my vigilance waned and I was anxious to get home.

I was tracked on radar going 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. In Virginia, 20 miles over the speed limit is an automatic reckless driving ticket and a mandatory appearance in court. The maximum fine includes jail time and a criminal record. Now seriously, I understand speeding is violating a law, but to be considered reckless driving under these conditions seemed extreme. I spent several weeks wondering if I should hire a lawyer and asking Virginia residents for advice. I spoke to several lawyers who warned me a lawyer was the only way to reduce the fine since they knew the ways of the court. Their fees were anywhere between $1000-$1500. Several residents agreed, Fairfax County was very strict and a lawyer was required for lenience.

In the end, I chose not to hire a lawyer and spent several hours in court watching others defend themselves, waiting for my name to be called. Many defendants had lawyers and were quickly dispensed with early in the docket. True to the lawyers’ claims, they all received reduced fines and charges. I had brought a book to read in court called Spirit Matters: Down-to-Earth Tools for a Spirited Life. While waiting, I chose to apply some of these tools including thinking of the words “certainty” and “truth” above my head. I also followed the instructions in the book and imagined a rose between myself and the traffic officer and another between myself and the judge. I imagined any non-beneficial energy being absorbed by the rose, then exploded the rose and repeated this several times.

When my name was called the officer stated that he had tracked me on radar, pulled me over and asked why I had been driving so fast. He had recorded my reply verbatim, “I am on way home from a meditation retreat and I am not quite grounded.” At TMI, we are instructed to get grounded before traveling home as there are many stories of missed planes, driving through red lights, lost purses, etc. I definitely felt like I was still in an altered state.

I wasn’t sure how the judge would take this explanation but I agreed this was what I had said. He then reduced my charge to “improper driving” and a fine of $100, this is the lowest charge to which the judge is able to reduce. What surprised me the most is that he didn’t ask for my driving record. The officer didn’t have it since I am licensed in Maryland. He had asked every single other defendant for their driving record and used it to determine the proper charge. If he had asked, I would have produced a clean record for the past 3 years. If he had asked about the previous years, being compelled to tell the whole truth, I would have admitted to several tickets in the past 10 years but since he didn’t ask, I didn’t tell.

In the end, a lawyer would have resulted in a similar outcome, but cost me upwards of $1500. Was it the words above my head? Did the rose exercise make a difference? I don’t know for sure, but I do know that I will use these tools again in future situations.
